A Golden Opportunity

My friend Gale Bates (www.mymentorbiz.com) challenged me to share my Golden Opportunity with everyone I meet. So I decided to share it with myself first. I began making a list of why Noevir is my Golden Opportunity. With a little help from my friends on our Friday Pacesetters Call (ask about joining the call) I came up with a great list of reasons.

1. We NEVER have to apologize for our products.
2. Noevir products keep us forever looking YOUNG and feeling SASSY.
3. Noevir provides us with creative outlets to make wonderful new FRIENDS.
4. Sharing Noevir daily has changed my life into a continual CELEBRATION.
5. Noevir puts a CHECK in my mailbox every month and has for 25 years!

WOW! This is a Golden Opportunity! Will you make a list of how your company is a golden opportunity? Sell yourself first--then tell the world! By the end of 2011--your paycheck will have grown and so will your circle of friends!

Why Noevir? Why direct sales?

Today I attended a networking event for women. The featured speaker represents Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Her name is LeeAnn Huggins.

LeeAnn shared some rather shocking statistics through a multiple choice quiz. Interestingly, as she asked us to guess the right answer from the choices we were right more times than not. But the answers were not very encouraging for women in retirement. Here's what I learned.

1. Less than 33% of women have a comprehensive financial plan.
2. On the average, women outlive men by 6 years.
3. The average woman should plan on 20 years of retirement.
4. Only 20% of women over 65 receive a pension.
5. The median female worker has saved $34,000 in a 409(k) account.

Women manage almost all the money in the world. Women own the majority of small businesses in the U.S. Yet we have not taken care of our own future.

LeeAnn went on to say that "Most adults in this country do not get out of money adolescence."

If these statistics are shocking to you, do you have a plan that will pay you residual income long into your future? You might say, but I'm not an author or actor. I don't have lots of investments.

Have you ever considered how a direct sales business could enhance your retirement years?

It might be one of the best investigations you have ever conducted! Do it soon! Do it today! I'd love to chat with you.

One Year Later

I forgot all about my blog. It's been a year! I am shocked. But when I rediscovered it--basically because my daughters are both writing blogs--I am so glad I did because there in the blogs are some of the great tips I have gleaned from books over a year ago. Refreshing oneself on great ideas is always a very good thing. In fact, in one of the blogs I asked a question. Today, I think I have the answer!

Social Media Connections

2010 is upon us and social media is hot! After a bit more than a year on Facebook, I am discovering how to get out of my comfort zone and meet fabulous people beyond the scope of my past or current affiliations!

Just today I had a great conversation with a woman I met when I went looking for like minded people through facebook. What a marvelous opportunity to spend time on the phone chatting with her clear across the continent. She is on much the same journey that I have been on.

So here's to exploring and searching for new friends who have similar values, experiences, passions, and dreams! Meet the friends you haven't met yet. What if in 2010 you could add one person from each state who met this criteria? How much richer would your life be? How could you enrich their lives through your business, wisdom, and insight!

Cheers for social media in 2010!

"Taking Time to Dream Everyday Increases Your Creativity"

The title for this blog came from a quote in The Top 10 Distinctions Between the Millionaires and the Middle Class, by Keith Cameron Smith. We have been talking in our calls about Empowering Questions. These questions stretch us and give us an opportunity to dream and therefore engage our creativity.

In an earlier blog, I asked the question, "How could I create such an exciting Noevir event that I would have six prospective clients at my dining room table every Tuesday evening and watch them turn them into raving fans for Noevir before my very eyes?"

I have been asking that question off and on for over a week now, and the wheels of my creativity have been churning out ideas. In fact, I believe I have one.

Will my idea work for you? No--it works for me because of my style and the way I do things. I invite you to ask yourself that same question and see how you might foster some fresh new creative ideas!

Five Principles for Success in Life

Principle #1: There is no such things as failure, there is only feedback. (Andrew Peacock) What is your feedback? How could you change the feedback?

Principle #2: If you continue to do life the same way--will you get different results? What results do you really want?

Principle #3: Everything is a matter of choice. (Dr. Zonnya) What is your choice?

Principle #4: Imperfect action is better than no action! (Giovanna Garcia) What is your imperfect action?

Principle #5: Ask, Seek, Knock! (Jesus) It's always "no" unless you ask! It's always hidden until you seek. The door remains closed unless you knock? What is your question? What are you seeking? Where are you knocking?

If you knew...

If you knew that you were to be promoted to a wonderful new position in your company in the next several months what kind of questions would you ask?

Would you ask--"Why does this always happen to me just when other responsibilities are heavy?" or "What if I get my hopes up about this promotion and then the whole thing goes south?" or "What if I can't maintain this new level?"

Or would you be crying, "Woohoo! How can I best prepare myself for this promotion with the added responsibility? or How can I be ready to give this new opportunity my best shot?" or "What do I need to know that will make me a more effective leader at this level?"

Every opportunity comes with the power to fear failure or exercise faith for success. They both--faith and fear--expect what is unseen to manifest itself. One expects dragons in the inkiness of midnight and the other expects miracles at sunrise!

What questions are you asking? Could it be that the questions you ask today--will either pull you forward into promotion or cause you to sink into failure. Maybe you really do call the shots!

It's worth pondering!
